Adrian Thomas Rogers

I’m running for City Council At-Large Position 4 to give Houston a strong, dedicated voice. Having lived and worked here my entire adult life—as a security guard, teacher, coach, police officer, and attorney—I’ve seen our residents’ challenges firsthand. My diverse experience equips me to tackle these issues effectively.

Public safety is a top priority. I’ll advocate for smarter technology, like expanded video surveillance, and stronger community partnerships so law enforcement can respond effectively while protecting vulnerable groups. At the same time, we must invest in infrastructure—repairing roads, improving drainage, and maintaining public facilities to keep Houston thriving.

FUTURE: What is your vision for the city in 10 years, and what steps

will you take to achieve it?

In the next decade, Houston can become not only America’s premier city but a global premier city. Our parks, sports, concerts, jobs, and affordability will attract residents worldwide. By empowering local businesses, building a citizen-focused government, and ensuring efficient first responders, services, and community programs, we can make this vision a reality by building and working on the concerns of the people.

CIVIC ENGAGEMENT: How will you engage residents in the city’s

decision-making process?

In this technology based environment I believe text alerts, radio stations and social media can assist with engaging residents in the city's decision-making process. I also believe in traditional methods as newspapers, newsletters, PIP meetings, town hall meetings and billboards to engage residents in the city's decision-making process.

COMMUNITY: What are your favorite things about your city?

I love Houston’s parks, event centers, sports arenas, diverse communities, and local restaurants—these are the qualities that truly set our city apart from others across America.
