How will you ensure efficient and equitable resolution of matters that come before your court, and that all residents — regardless of their financial means — have meaningful access to legal resources?
We, our democratic brethren, in 2018, shortly after we were elected to our first term, created the Managed Assigned Counsel (MAC) program. This programs ensure’s that each person is treated equally, with respect, and given the means to ensure they are provided with a meaningful defense. This program divested our power to appoint lawyers to avoid the appearance of impropriety.
