Backlog
How will you address the case backlog in your court to ensure timely resolution for all parties?
I will be willing to go to trial. That gives people their day in court. When judges are willing to go to trial, it tends to prevent parties from stalling. This promotes justice for everyone.
Efficiency/accessibility
How will you ensure efficient and equitable resolution of matters that come before your court, and that all residents — regardless of their financial means — have meaningful access to legal resources?
Defendants who cannot afford an attorney have the right to have an attorney appointed for them. I will judge cases fairly based upon the law and the facts in front of me. I will uphold the law, which protects defendants’ Constitutional rights and also the safety of victims and our community.
