Background
What would you like people to know about you?
I am a lifelong Tomball/Cypress area resident, a wife, a mother of three Tomball ISD students, and a Texas A&M-trained public health professional. I am a Christian, Conservative, and a Republican. I’m running to bring transparency, fiscal responsibility, great teachers, and safe campuses to every family in this District, because our children and their futures come first.
Qualifications
What training, experience and characteristics qualify you for this position?
I hold a B.S. in Biomedical Science and an M.P.H. in Environmental and Occupational Health from Texas A&M, and served as an EHS Specialist at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where safety and accountability were paramount. I’ve also worked in early childhood education and as a youth and family minister. As a mother of three Tomball ISD students, I bring firsthand insight and faith-driven integrity.
Opportunities
Based on the District’s latest improvement plan, what do you see as the greatest opportunities for improvement and how do you see the Board supporting the improvement plan?
Tomball ISD’s plan rightly prioritizes foundational literacy (science-of-reading), small class sizes (16:1), and retaining great teachers. The Board should protect class-reduction funding for high-need campuses, hold every campus accountable for real reading gains, expand parent voice through the Improvement Council, and ensure taxpayer dollars keep flowing to classrooms, not overhead.
Supporting Teachers
What do you see as the most pressing issues facing the District’s teachers? What actions can the Board take to better support teachers?
Teachers face burdensome bureaucracy, disruptive classrooms, and pay that doesn’t match their workload. The Board should prioritize competitive pay and retention incentives, cut non-instructional paperwork, back strong discipline policies that support classroom order, and give teachers a real voice in curriculum decisions, so our best educators are recruited, respected, and retained.
Challenges
What do you view as the biggest challenge facing the District in the next several years and what actions will you support to meet that challenge?
The biggest challenge is sustaining academic excellence and fiscal discipline amid growth and rising costs, while keeping every campus safe. I support conservative budgeting that prioritizes classrooms over administration, strong law-enforcement partnerships and clear emergency plans on every campus, and policies that keep parents informed and involved in every major decision.
Future Voters
Assess how the District prepares students to participate in their country’s democracy and describe what the Board can do to support these efforts.
Preparing future citizens means teaching civics, American history, and the founding principles that make self-government possible, not political activism. The Board should ensure a rigorous, honest civics curriculum, encourage respectful debate of ideas, and partner with parents so students graduate understanding their rights, responsibilities, and the value of our republic.
