Initiatives
What initiatives will you implement to facilitate the resolution of small claims cases and landlord-tenant disputes, and what is your approach to eviction proceedings to ensure that the rights of all parties are fairly considered?
Throughout my tenure, I have worked to make the Justice Court accessible, efficient, and understandable, particularly in small claims and landlord-tenant matters where many parties represent themselves. I continue to look for opportunities to improve court procedures, provide clear information about the court process, and utilize technology and alternative dispute resolution when appropriate to facilitate the efficient and fair resolution of cases. Eviction proceedings require particular attention because they involve important rights and significant consequences for both landlords and tenants. My approach is to ensure that each party has a meaningful opportunity to be heard, understands the court process, and is treated with dignity.
