Backlog
How will you address the case backlog in your court to ensure timely resolution for all parties?
I plan to implement scheduling orders. This ensures everyone has a timeline and clear expectations. Additionally, I plan to have an early morning docket for pleas and approaches so that attorneys can handle uncontested issues fast and early. We will have designated trial days, to make sure we have trials every week for those that need a trial.

How will you ensure efficient and equitable resolution of matters that come before your court, and that all residents — regardless of their financial means — have meaningful access to legal resources?
I will continue to be an approachable and available judge. I have invaluable experience as a judge and mediator and can assist as needed for resolution of issues between both sides. Additionally, I believe in the principles of our constitution. I will ensure that the O’Donnell consent decree continues to be enforced and followed. This landmark agreement ensures that people are treated equally when it comes to bail practices and that people, when presumed innocent, are not punished because of financial status.
