Anna Eady
I have not followed a traditional path to becoming a judicial candidate. After earning my bachelor’s degree, I worked in institutional investing, then spent time at NASA while attending law school part-time. As a lawyer, I started my own criminal defense firm and became a Forensic Lawyer-Scientist. Most of my work has been representing people who qualify for court-appointed counsel. My background has given me the opportunity to work with people from all walks of life.
I will follow the law when setting bonds and addressing bond revocations. I also want to work with my fellow judges to improve daily court operations. Right now, when a judge has an emergency, another judge has to cover, which leaves attorneys and staff waiting and courts without a judge. I plan to work with court staff to redirect attorneys to my courtroom when needed. This will reduce costs, keep cases moving, and get attorneys back to their legal work more efficiently.
