Michael Abner
I have been a prosecutor for over a decade where I have tried numerous felony criminal cases in front of juries. I have also tried felony cases as a defense lawyer.
The two most pressing issues are dealing with a court backlog and running an efficient docket. My plans would be to conduct jury trials in a timely manner that does not prejudice the state nor the defense in having the sufficient amount of time to prepare for trial. I would also start court timely every day and not have defendants continuously have to appear for court in non dispositive settings.
