Two of the most pressing issues that I believe I will face in office are:
(1) Standardize testing score improvement
(2) School Bond approval/Denial
As it relates to standardized testing scores, I believe the district has made great strides for improvement and have some great processes to continue that momentum, my role would be to ensure our educators understand the processes and feel comfortable providing useful feedback around roadblocks.
From a school Bond approval/denial perspective, I believe we will need something in the near future as this is a fast pace growing district; I would need to be abreast of budgets and impact on our community prior to making a decision.
