Qualifications: What training, experience and characteristics qualify you for this position?
ETHICS: How will you ensure your rulings remain impartial and free from both political pressure and the interests of your campaign donors?
Zach Gibson
I am uniquely qualified for this job. As a prosecutor, I have handled over 100 cases in the courts of appeals. I understand what the First Court does, and I will be ready to do this job on day one.
Judges and justices must swear an oath to "preserve, protect, and defend" the law. I am prepared to set aside any political pressures and simply do what the law requires. Living up to an ethical standard higher than the average attorney is something that I am used to. As a prosecutor, I have a duty "not to convict, but to see that justice is done." I will take my judicial oath as seriously!
