As a Harris County JP Prosecutor I have worked in almost all of the Justice of the Peace courts in the county. The experience has given me the knowledge I need to run an effective JP court. I have empathy and understand the people I serve. Everyone deserves a fair and impartial judge who treats all people with dignity. I am committed to serving our community and desire safety for not just my family but all the residents in precinct 8-2. I have extensive knowledge of the law and believe the best way I can serve is as a judge for the People’s Court.
The first issue I will face is public trust. It is important to treat everyone with patience and dignity because justice court is often the first and sometimes only court people ever experience.
The second issue is running a court that is efficient and effective. Many people who come to court work jobs that are paid hourly. Time is money for them. We need to make sure that when they enter court their time is not wasted.
