Theresa Courts
As a veteran of the US Army National Guard, I swore to protect and defend the constitution when I enlisted. After my service, I continued to serve my community as an educator for over 10 years.

I am not a politician. I am an everyday American- a mother, an educator, and a veteran. I know how difficult life is for so a many Americans in this economy. The military taught me how to fight, and I will fight for our working and middle-class families, and for our public schools.

In the Army I learned how to apply tourniquets & pack bullet wounds to prepare for war. As an educator, we learn how to apply tourniquets and pack bullet wounds to prepare for the next school shooting. Our leaders do nothing.

I will fight for gun safety reforms that will keep our children safe. Reforms that will allow us to go to school, work, and worship and not worry about the next mass shooting. I will fight to ban high capacity magazines, institute universal background checks, increase wait time, & more.

Texans are facing an affordability crisis. The cost of living has skyrocketed, but wages haven’t kept pace. Minimum wage hasn’t been raised since 2009. I will fight for our working & middle class families and to raise minimum wage.
