I am qualified to serve as Judge of the 113th Civil Court based on extensive judicial experience, advanced trial training, and a demonstrated commitment to fair and efficient justice. Since 2019, I have served as Presiding Judge, presiding over 85 jury trials and more than 90 bench trials across a broad range of civil matters. I am double Board Certified in Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Prior to taking the bench, I practiced law for over a decade in state and federal courts, including appellate matters. I have also held statewide judicial leadership roles, including President of the Texas Association of District Judges, and served on judicial education and policy committees.

The first pressing issue is managing a high-volume civil docket while ensuring timely access to justice. Drawing on my judicial experience and my service as Chair of the Jury Committee overseeing operations for more than 80 courts, I use early case management conferences, clear scheduling orders, and targeted alternative dispute resolution to resolve cases efficiently while protecting due process.

The second issue is maintaining public confidence in the judiciary. Having been elected by district judges statewide to serve in leadership and serving on the Curriculum Committee for the Texas Center for the Judiciary, I promote consistent, transparent, and respectful court practices, and impartial application of the law.
