I bring a rare combination of public service, legal training, and courtroom experience that directly prepares me to serve as Justice of the Peace for Precinct 7-2.
I began my career as a social worker in Harris County, working directly with children and families impacted by housing instability, domestic violence, substance use, mental health needs, and financial hardship. I now serve as an Assistant County Attorney where I continue to advocate for those same vulnerable communities. I have the unique experience of practicing in a specialty court, where I have handled hundreds of trials, hearings, and mediations, and work closely with judges, court staff, and community partners while managing a complex high-volume docket.

Eviction & Housing Stability: Evictions dominate the JP docket and destabilize families and neighborhoods. I will prioritize mediation as the first step in landlord-tenant disputes, expand diversion options, and ensure tenants are connected to rental assistance, legal aid, and housing resources. I will establish a Court Resource Hub and hire a Community Liaison to coordinate on site referrals so cases are resolved fairly, before displacement occurs.
Lack of Community Engagement: Elected Officials must be accessible, not distant. I will hold regular town halls, legal clinics, and community workshops, beginning within my first 60 days in office, and partner with trusted nonprofits to ensure residents understand the court and their rights.
